Children in the Garden

Every child is an individual and deserves the best possible start to life.  The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a statutory government framework that supports this belief.  It sets out standards for the learning, development and welfare of children from birth to five years of age.  It explains the skills, knowledge and understanding that children need to learn to support their development, and to acquire the skills they will need at school and beyond.  Early years practitioners use the framework to help them plan for the learning and development of the children in their care, and your child will be assessed against this framework whilst at nursery.

At Stepping Stones we value the strong relationships we build with parents, and love that we are able to share your child's growth and  achievements with you! Our team continually observe and assess your child's development, and record feedback in an online Learning Journal.  You can follow and add to this journey by uploading your own pictures and comments from activities and experiences you enjoy away from nursery.
