3 & 4 YEAR OLD FUNDING

- 15 HOURS -

All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible to receive 570 hours of funded early education or childcare  per year.  This is usually taken as 15 hours per week, over the 38 weeks of school term time.

Your child is eligible for the funded hours from 1 January, 1 April or 1 September following his or her 3rd birthday.

It's simple to claim the funded 15 hours.  You simply complete a form that we can provide and we'll do the rest for you!

Working parents may also be eligible to claim an additional 570 hours of funded childcare, which provides 30 hours per week over tschool term time.

You, and/or your partner, must each expect to earn at least £120 a week. If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.

You will need to apply online to claim the additional 30 hours of childcare.  Please see below for the link.

You may be entitled to 570 hours of funded childcare a year for your 2 year old.

You will be eligible if you are getting a form of support, including Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), Tax credits and have an annual income under a certain amount.  You’ll also be eligible if your child is looked after by a local council, has a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan, gets Disability Living Allowance, or has left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order.
